The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct on Wednesday announced that it is seeking to admonish a Schenectady County judge for having her secretary, a court employee, perform personal tasks and for allowing her daughter to wander around the courthouse and distract court security officers at their checkpoint.

Judge Jill Polk, a family court judge and an acting justice of the Schenectady County Supreme Court, became a judge in 2015 and is accused of misconduct starting that year and continuing into 2017, according to the commission.
