A new breach-of-contract lawsuit targeting the producers of Broadway's "The Music Man" landed in Manhattan federal court on Monday, after a group of professional singers said they were abruptly terminated from their role as the play's barbershop quartet.

The lawsuit, originally filed in state Supreme Court on Jan. 26, claimed that each of the four plaintiffs was owed nearly $147,000 under agreements they signed for two months of rehearsals, followed by one year of performances.
