The lawsuit, originally filed in state Supreme Court but now removed to federal court, claimed that each of the four plaintiffs was owed nearly $147,000 under agreements they signed for two months of rehearsals, followed by one year of performances.

A new breach-of-contract lawsuit targeting the producers of Broadway's "The Music Man" landed in Manhattan federal court on Monday, after a group of professional singers said they were abruptly terminated from their role as the play's barbershop quartet.
