For the first time in the 70-year history of the award, the New York City Bar Association presented its prestigious Association Medal to two recipients in the same year.

On March 10, the City Bar presented the award to former New York City Corporation Counsel Zachary Carter and Mary Jo White, a former chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission and former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York who is now a partner at Debevoise & Plimpton.
