The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit on Monday upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit by fantasy sports players who sued Major League Baseball and two of its most prominent clubs over a sign-stealing scandal that rocked the sport.

A unanimous panel of the Manhattan-based appeals court said that the civil fraud suit amounted to “nothing more than claims brought by disgruntled fantasy sports participants” who were unhappy about the repercussions of cheating in MLB games.
