In 2021, the New York courts issued numerous evidence decisions. Law Journal columnists and expert contributors have discussed and brought to the attention of the bar those decisions which stand out as they establish new rules, either by rejecting prior precedent (e.g., "should not be followed") or creating new rules to deal with new situations. However, there were many, coining Michael Hoenig's phrase, "under the radar" decisions which the bar might overlook but should be aware of and keep in its evidence toolbox along with a copy of the Guide to New York Evidence. I thought a presentation of them via a "quiz' at this time when we are starting to get out our pandemic hibernation would be a good way to create awareness. Take a break, sit back and have fun! The "answers" (i.e., the appellate holding) are also provided.
