Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on Wednesday launched a new application process for people seeking to have their convictions reviewed by the office’s Post-Conviction Justice Unit, which has been renamed and redesigned since Bragg took office in January.

The unit is accepting applications by mail and email regarding any closed case that was prosecuted by the office, unit chief Terri Rosenblatt said. Priority will be given to serious offenses and those in which the defendant is in prison or on parole, and applications will be accepted from the defendant, their attorneys or affected community members, including clergy, family and friends.
