Bipartisanship was the main theme struck by lawyers defending the work of the New York Legislature in drawing new Congressional district lines, in arguments before the state’s highest court Tuesday.

The map, which is predicted to reduce Republican representation in New York’s Congressional delegation, has been described as an “embarrassment” by a lawyer from Troutman Pepper who is representing GOP members who’ve objected to their work.
