The rule of law is at a crossroads in America. Following the Trump presidency, the Capitol riots, anti-voting rights laws and the hyper politicization of the Supreme Court, Americans are in desperate need of common ground.

But sometimes we forget a very simple truth. We need look no further than the U.S. Constitution to find what binds us together as Americans. The Constitution rightly serves as a guidepost for modern democracy here at home but also for fledgling nations around the globe. It has inspired the creation of new, free nations and drawn untold immigrants to our shores looking for just a glimmer of its promise.
