A longtime child custody lawyer supports a bill that's on the New York Senate floor that she says stands to modernize training and safety requirements.
Called Kyra's Law, the proposal is named for a 2-year-old Long Island girl who was killed by her father amid a bitter custody battle in 2016 in Nassau County Family Court.
