The New York State Bar Association is scheduled to host a program on Monday that will “examine the economic impact of slavery and structural racism on African Americans and explore the forms that reparations can take,” according to the group.

Titled, “Closing The Wealth Gap: Restitution, Reparations, And Other Remedies,” the two-hour program will feature three policy-expert panelists, according to the bar association, who will discuss and consider forms of reparations ranging from “systemic initiatives to offset longstanding injustices to monetary payments, apologies, scholarships, settlements and more.”
