Federal prosecutors on Friday asked U.S. District Judge Brian Cogan of the Eastern District of New York to again assess potential conflicts of interest involving former Trump inaugural committee chairman Thomas Barrack and his criminal defense attorneys at O’Melveny & Myers.

If Cogan agrees to schedule the Curcio hearing, it would be the third such hearing since the start of the year in the case. Barrack and one of his former employees have pleaded not guilty to acting as an agent of a foreign government without notifying the attorney general, among other offenses, as part of a scheme to advance the interests of the United Arab Emirates in the United States.
