Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft has lured partner Angela Batterson away from Jones Day in New York, as part of its continued deepening of its finance bench.

Batterson, who spent the last four years at Jones Day, joins a firm that has recently swelled the ranks of its finance talent. In London, Matthew Smith and Bevis Metcalfe joined its European leveraged finance and private credit practice in February, while in April Peter Malyshev from Reed Smith and Mercedes Tunstall from Loeb & Loeb joined its financial services offering. In March Helen Maher joined its global litigation practice from Boies Schiller Flexner. Kiran Kadekar and Michael Bergmann also recently joined the firm's corporate practice.
