A state appeals court on Thursday upheld the sex-crimes conviction of Harvey Weinstein, rejecting his arguments that a judge should not have allowed trial testimony from three women who weren't victims in the case, and that the judge should have removed a juror who allegedly lied about her forthcoming novel about "predatory older men."

The decision, issued by a panel of five woman justices who sit on the Manhattan-based appellate court, was another step in reinforcing that the #MeToo movement, which was sparked by 2017 revelations about Weinstein's predatory behavior towards women, appears here to stay.
