A state appeals court on Friday declared recently enacted district maps tied to voting for the state Assembly invalid because of “procedural infirmities,” but it is allowing those same invalid maps to be used for the upcoming June 28 Assembly primary and Nov. 8 Assembly general election.

The ruling from the Appellate Division, First Department court based in Manhattan affirms in part and overrules in part a trial court ruling issued on May 27.
