A Brooklyn federal judge said Thomas Barrack, the chairman of former President Donald Trump’s 2017 inaugural committee, and his former employee, Matthew Grimes, must stand trial for allegations that they did not register as foreign agents with the attorney general, among other charges.

The founder and former CEO of the real estate investment firm Colony Capital, now known as DigitalBridge, is set to face a September trial after U.S. District Judge Brian Cogan of the Eastern District of New York rejected several of the defendants’ arguments regarding allegations that they acted under the control of the United Arab Emirates and other charges.
