John Mastando III, co-head of Weil, Gotshal & Manges' insurance litigation practice and a partner in its complex commercial litigation practice, has been appointed to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
"Mr. Mastando is a distinguished addition to a distinguished bench, and we look forward to working with him for many years to come," Chief Judge Debra Ann Livingston of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, which appointed Mastando to the Manhattan-based court, said in a news release.
