- Michael Held, previously the NY Federal Reserve Bank general counsel, has joined WilmerHale as a partner in the firm's securities and financial services department. He is scheduled to start on July 18 and his practice will focus on representing financial institutions, providing regulatory advice and crisis management guidance,and supporting innovation within ESG and Fintech business segments.
- Lauren Scarantino has joined Alston & Bird as a partner in its real estate finance & investment group. She joins from Blank Rome. The firm has also hired Evan Hudson as a partner. He was previously with Strook & Strook & Lavan.
- Melissa Sandak has joined Goodwin Proctor as a partner in the firm's ERISA and executive compensation practice. She joins from Schulte Roth & Zabel.
- Goldberg Segalla has added Kelly Johnson to the firm's global insurance services group as a partner in Manhattan. She was previously with Greenberg Traurig in Atlanta, GA.
- Zabrina Reich and Anthony Barone Jr., two attorneys from the boutique immigration firm Serotte Reich, have brought their firm into Phillips Lytle. Ms. Reich will join as a partner and Mr. Barone will be senior counsel.
- Romer Debbas has expanded the firm's headquarters at 275 Madison Avenue to now occupy the entire 8th floor. The firm is led by managing partners Michael Romer and Pierre Debbas.
- Professor David Simson has joined New York Law School as associate professor of law. He will be affiliated with the Wilf Impact Center for Public Interest Law and the Racial Justice Project. He joins NYLS after three years as an acting assistant professor at New York University School of Law.
- Faegre Drinker has added Ted Wolff as a partner in the firm's environment and energy practice group in New York. He joins from Manatt, Phelps & Phillips where he was a partner in their environment group.
- Cole Schotz has added Emanuel Tsourounis II as a member of the firm's real estate practice. He joins from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.
- McGuireWoods has hired former federal prosecutor Eric Snyder as a partner in the firm's government investigations & white collar litigation department. He joins from Jones Day.
- Appellate lawyer Michael Rayfield has joined Shook, Hardy & Bacon as a partner. He was formerly at Mayer Brown.
- Insurance Brokerage firm World Insurance, has hired Tim Robb as general counsel. Prior to joining, he was chief legal counsel for Amynta Group.
- Eisner has promoted associates Jordan Gutglass and Holden Sumner to senior counsel in the firm's New York office.
- Couch White has added Medea Asantiani, Christina Avery and Hilana Said as summer associates.
- Craig Tarasoff has joined Kirsch & Niehaus. Prior to joining, he was with the boutique firm Gallet Dreyer & Berkey.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The suit was filed Sept. 7 in Wisconsin Western District Court by Levine Eisberner LLC and Siri & Glimstad on behalf of a project manager who claims that he was wrongfully terminated after applying for a religious exemption to the defendant's COVID-19 vaccine mandate. David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn and Gregory A. Hall from McCarter & English have entered appearances for Sunrun Installation Services in a pending civil rights lawsuit. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
