As state lawmakers returned to Albany for an extraordinary session convened by Gov. Kathy Hochul to rework New York’s conceal carry permit regulations, a lawyers’ group in Manhattan says it would be reasonable for guns to be excluded from certain public areas.

Governmental locations, public transit, auditoriums, arenas, health care facilities, places where alcohol is served, and houses of worship are among them, New York County Lawyers Association President Vince Chang said in an interview with the Law Journal on Thursday.
