A New York lawyer pleaded guilty to mail fraud Tuesday after collecting more than $900,000 in attorney fees through fraudulent lawsuits filed under the Americans with Disabilities Act, federal prosecutors in Manhattan announced.

Stuart Finkelstein, 67, was arrested in Florida in 2019 after he was accused of filing at least 300 lawsuits in New York and Florida federal courts on behalf of people who had not retained him as counsel, according to court filings.
