Former Rivkin Radler partner Jason Kurland was found guilty of wire fraud and other offenses after six and a half hours of deliberation in Brooklyn’s federal courthouse Tuesday, despite arguments from Kurland’s counsel that the men indicted alongside him took advantage of both him and his clients.

Kurland promoted his services as the “Lottery Lawyer,” telling people who had won lotteries that he could help them manage their jackpots through a combination of traditional investments and higher-risk business investment opportunities, prosecutors said.
