Brett Friedman has rejoined Ropes & Gray’s health care practice as a partner. He returns to the firm after serving as deputy commissioner at New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and the State Medicaid Director. Prior to his joining NYSDOH, Brett was a partner in Ropes & Gray’s health care group and co-head of the firm’s digital health practice.
Seyfarth has hired Ivan Smith as a partner in its labor & employment department and labor management relations practice group. He previously served as a labor & employment and entertainment, media & sports shareholder at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.
