Although New York’s Medicaid pharmacy benefit “carve-out” appears to be imminent, a coalition of health care providers and patients stated their staunch opposition, joined by a business attorney who heads a nonprofit organization in Harlem who says it’s not too late to convince Gov. Kathy Hochul to scrap the plan.

Provider members of the Save New York’s Safety Net coalition converged on Hochul’s office in Albany on Tuesday in hopes of convincing her to repeal the measure, which is set to take effect on April 1.
