Practice Profile: Noam Biale is a litigator who primarily works in federal court, specializing in trials, appeals, criminal defense, complex civil litigation and pro bono matters.

Leadership, Pro Bono and Civic Work: Noam is Sher Tremonte’s pro bono coordinator, and in that capacity he is responsible for administering the firm’s substantial commitment to public interest work. Noam serves on the pro bono panel for the Second Circuit and the CJA panel for the Eastern District of New York. His pro bono work has ranged from prisoners’ rights cases (including a First Amendment case establishing the right of prisoners to refuse to become informants), to seeking resentencing for a 16-year-old who received a life sentence for felony murder, as well as representing immigrants in asylum proceedings and, most recently, the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th Attack in litigation challenging the validity of its subpoenas. He serves on the Federal Bar Council’s Public Service Committee.
