On Tuesday, Legal Aid honored those in the law community who devoted considerable time to improve the lives of people who might just need the help of a good lawyer at its annual Pro Bono Publico Awards Ceremony, which was held at the Prince George Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan.

For example, the New York City Legal Aid Society reports that 2,737 volunteers gave more than 201,000 hours of their time last year.
