A longtime agriculture educator who traveled New York in a "Mobile Maple Experience" trailer to teach select high school students how to make maple syrup said officials of the Capital Region Board of Cooperative Educational Services told him he was no longer welcome to give presentations, after a student alleged he touched her breasts and rear during a school visit in June 2021.

The case demonstrates just how quickly institutions aim to act in the face of the #MeToo movement—and the teacher's federal lawsuit, in fact, cites pressure from the movement as a motivator for his ouster.
