In his closing argument Tuesday, Willkie Farr & Gallagher partner Randall Wade Jackson made his final effort to convince an Eastern District of New York jury that former Trump inaugural committee chairman Thomas Barrack was not acting as an illegal agent for the United Emirates during the Trump administration.

Jackson emphasized that Barrack was open about his business relationships with officials in the UAE, which he described as just one example of Barrack’s worldwide connections as the founder and then-CEO of the real estate firm Colony Capital, which later rebranded as DigitalBridge.
