Trump Organization defense attorney Alan Futerfas on Thursday raised concerns about Manhattan assistant district attorney Joshua Steinglass’ suggestions that former President Donald Trump knew about his employees’ scheme to avoid taxes on their compensation from his company, warning that the case is not about Trump.

Steinglass, who told jurors in his closing argument that “Donald Trump knew exactly what was going on with his top executives,” said Futerfas’ colleagues should not have opened the door to the issue of what Trump knew during their own closing arguments.
