Artificial Intelligence (AI) generally refers to the use of computer or machine technologies to make predictions, recommendations or decisions based on data input and analytics, often supplanting or supplementing human decision making. In recent years, the use of AI has exploded in virtually every aspect of business operations, including hiring and employment.

A wealth of novel tools, applications and programs promise new levels of accuracy and efficiency in making employment decisions. Some AI tools can streamline recruiting processes, assisting with everything from candidate sourcing to resume review to interview scheduling. Other tools can evaluate candidate skills and abilities, including administering tests and leveraging behavioral science to identify appropriate “fits” for the business.
