U.S. District Court Justice Sidney Stein on Friday sentenced reality TV star Jennifer Shah to more than 6 years in prison for her role in a long-running telemarketing fraud that targeted the elderly.

The 78 month sentence fell below the recommended 135 to 168 range, as well as the 10 years sought by prosecutors. Defense attorney Priya Chaudhry had requested 36 months.
