Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney hopes his legacy will be to change the perception of a county that in recent history has seen convictions of high-level officials for abuses of power.

“My long-term goal is to change the culture in the D.A.’s office,” Tierney said in an interview with the New York Law Journal. “I think people outside the county say certain things about Suffolk County. I don’t think those things are necessarily true. But through our actions, we want to change the culture in the office, we want to change the culture in Suffolk County.”
