A state appeals court on Tuesday rejected an attempt by Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher to stop a traverse hearing ordered by a lower court in a long-running litigation over $325,346 in legal fees the law firm says it’s owed by defendants living in Europe.

Gibson Dunn’s lawsuit filed in 2016 alleges that several individual defendants, including Elio D’Anna Jr., are liable to the firm based on theories of alter ego and piercing the corporate veil after a judgment for the fees was entered against former client Be In Inc. in Manhattan Supreme Court.
