Much has already been said about Appellate Division, Second Department Presiding Justice Hector LaSalle's record on workers' rights, women's rights, and criminal justice. Opponents point to rulings they call outrageous; supporters claim the decisions are misrepresented.
This debate–while important–misses a significant reason why LaSalle is the wrong choice for chief judge of the New York Court of Appeals.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
