It is hard to believe that this year will mark 35 years since the NYSBA Commercial and Federal Litigation Section was founded. The section has achieved much during that time, and it has a lot to look forward to. Since its founding, the section has consistently brought together commercial litigators with federal and state court judges who are engaged in commercial litigation. Through programming, reports, and other initiatives our section works hard to help to make New York the best place in the world to litigate commercial disputes.

The past two to three years have been a challenge for everyone and especially for bar associations. The pandemic, however, did not hold back our section, which embraced remote programming and was able to engage members throughout the state during the pandemic through our events and our committee activities. Over the past six months, we have been excited to return to having in-person events, which have included bench bar forums throughout the state with Commercial Division and federal judges, our Spring Meeting in Ithaca, our Taking the Lead/Sheindlin Award program at the SDNY courthouse in November, and our upcoming Annual Meeting CLE and Luncheon.
