Plaintiff landlord Kato International brought an action for money damages arising from the breach of a commercial lease with defendant tenant Gerard Fox Law for office space at East 49th Street, and of a personal guaranty of the lease by defendant guarantor.

In 2020, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Nancy Bannon granted plaintiff’s motion for summary judgment on the issue of liability, with the issue of damages and attorneys’ fees due to plaintiff to be determined at trial.
