Thomas P. Valet, a partner at Rappaport, Glass, Levine & Zullo, was officially sworn in as president of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association on Jan. 19. Valet has been serving in the role since July.

A 1985 graduate of the School of Law at Hofstra University, and a lifelong New Yorker who was born and raised on Long Island, Valet says the focus of his term has been to revive NYSTLA activities that went idle because of the pandemic. They include committee meetings and an award-winning continuing legal education program. The majority of continuing legal education programs will be free to NYSTLA members.
