Simpson Thacher & Bartlett is providing pro bono counsel to a New York Civil Liberties Union lawsuit against the state prison system, which alleges the latter’s partial denial of a Freedom of Information Law request for officer misconduct records spanning 20 years was unlawful.

The NYCLU’s suit against the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision was filed Monday in an Albany trial court.
