Five-Year Contract Gives 13% Increase, Signing Bonus, to Thousands of Court Workers
The CBAs affect all of the nearly 15,000 non-judicial employees who are represented by unions, as well as employees who are designated as management or confidential by the Public Employment Relations Board, OCA spokesman Lucian Chalfen said.

In need of new union contracts for nearly two years, thousands of non-judicial employees of the New York Unified Court System are due to receive five-year, 13% salary increases, including two years of retroactive increases that may be received faster than in previous collective bargaining agreements.
Gov. Kathy Hochul recently signed a bill that affects employees represented by 12 unions, just weeks after its introduction.
The contract breakdown calls for retroactive raises of 2% each as of April 1, 2021, and April 2022, followed by 3% pay increases on April 1, April 2024 and April 2025.
