The state court system is in need of supplemental funding to restore it to pre-pandemic levels, the New York City Bar Association said in unveiling a packed legislative agenda for the fiscal year beginning April 1.

The city bar association, composed of more than 23,000 members, is also backing a number of progressive legal initiatives, such as the Clean Slate Act, that would automatically seal, for civil purposes, misdemeanor conviction records three years after sentencing, and felony records seven years after sentencing.
