Elements of the New York Senate’s “one-house” budget that included a required performance review and training mandates on the state’s 1,300 judges have been questioned as overstepping into the work of the judiciary.
The Senate’s one-house budget includes a measure that would require the state Office of Court Administration to publish annual performance reviews of individual judges.
