Burton was the keynote speaker on the second day of the annual four-day conference at the New York Hilton Midtown hotel.

Burton said stories must be told from a place of authenticity. He said they contain the hopes, dreams and aspirations that exist in the human condition—everything we want for ourselves and our children. Everything that we hope, dream and desire are contained in the stories that we tell.
