If one were to assess Rowan Wilson by his voting record since being appointed in 2017 to the Court of Appeals, they may conclude that he is persistently at odds with his fellow jurists on the New York’s highest court.

Midway through 2022, there were 28 dissenting opinions from the court, Law Journal columnists Thomas R. Newman and Steven J. Ahmuty Jr. observed—15 of which from Wilson, considered a stalwart of the court’s liberal wing.
