The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit granted an administrative stay of the U.S. House Judiciary Committee's subpoena for the deposition of Mark Pomerantz, a former Manhattan special assistant district attorney, on Thursday morning, shortly before Pomerantz was scheduled to appear for his 10 a.m. deposition.
Second Circuit Judge Beth Robinson, a Biden appointee, granted the stay after U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil of the Southern District of New York, a Trump appointee, on Wednesday denied Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's motion for a temporary restraining order blocking the subpoena.
