A former town judge in New York’s Catskills readily admitted on Monday that he refused to cooperate with a state judicial misconduct investigation after he resigned and accepted a prosecutor’s role.

David Rikard, a former Prattsville town justice in Greene County, agreed to never seek or accept a judicial post in the future, after admitting he resisted the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct’s request for cooperation with its investigation alleging inappropriate demeanor, unauthorized political activity, and poor financial reporting and accounting practices.
