On Tuesday, May 2, from 6-9 p.m., the Association of Law Secretaries to the Justices of the Supreme and Surrogates' Courts, will hold its annual dinner at The View at Battery Park, One Battery Plaza, New York City.

The annual dinner will honor judges including all of the judges in the city of New York, of the Appellate Term 1st and 12th JD; 2nd, 11th, & 13th JD, along with two former presidents and two civil court judges as gavel recipients with the association celebrating over 53 years.
Cocktail reception begins at 6 p.m. and the program will start promptly at 7:15 p.m. The cover charge $175. Pay via Zelle to: [email protected].

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
