Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on Monday announced his backing for new legislation criminalizing the home manufacturing of 3D-printed “ghost” guns and gun parts.
Under current New York state laws, only the possession or distribution of a 3D-printed gun is illegal, punishable as a misdemeanor. Current laws have made it illegal to sell ghost guns in New York, leading to a proliferation of manufacturing at home.
