A state appeals court Thursday rejected an ex-Bronx-prosecutor-turned-defense-attorney’s effort to compel FOIL request information tied to all Bronx ADAs at his old office who’ve committed “misconduct” during Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark’s tenure.

The Freedom of Information Law requests come from Adam Oustatcher, a former Bronx Assistant District Attorney for 17 years. Oustatcher ended his prosecutorial career in 2016 as the Bronx office’s Director of DNA Prosecutions. He’d tried 45 felony cases to verdict while targeting serial killers, infanticides, large-scale narcotics enterprises and cold cases, among others, according to biography information.
