Embattled U.S. Rep. George Santos on Friday appealed the order of a federal magistrate judge that found he must reveal the names of those who cosigned his $500,000 unsecured bond.

“Defendant strongly objects to the great weight afforded to the right of access of these judicial records, up against the countervailing factors at issue with the suretors,” defense attorney Joseph Murray wrote to U.S. District Judge Joanna Seybert of the Eastern District of New York.
