Recent reports of a conservative billionaire's lavish gifts to United States Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas have resulted in a heightened level of scrutiny on the ethics rules for justices and come at a time of cratering public opinion for the high court.
Though it remains unclear at this point if these factors will lead to stronger ethics regulation for SCOTUS.
