Rudy Giuliani has filed to remove the sexual assault and employment lawsuit filed against him last month by a former associate to the federal courthouse in the district where he was once U.S. Attorney.

In a notice filed late Wednesday, Giuliani and his legal team said they had filed to move the litigation from New York County State Supreme Court to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Giuliani served as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1983 to 1989.
