After 14 years as dean of St. John’s University School of Law, Michael A. Simons told the university that he plans to step down at the end of the 2023-24 academic year.

“Serving as dean has been a tremendous joy—largely because of the opportunity to work with each of you—and I am confident that this is the right time for the Law School to begin this transition,” Simons wrote in an email to his law colleagues earlier this month, which he provided to Law.com Thursday.
